PUBG MOBILE ERANGEL 2.0 MAP UPDATE

PUBG Mobile has been pushing out new updates for some time now. The recent one in the corner now is the update on the much popular Erangle map, which was first teased during the PMCO 2019 Spring finals in Berlin. A short video showed just a few of the places where visual updates were offered and that was all. However, it appears that Tencent is preparing to launch the map update soon.

The popular PUBG Mobile Youtuber Wynnsanity has uploaded a video on the Erangel 2.0 update. The video debuted in the Chinese version of the mobile game called Game for Peace. He also gave us a peek into the new Erangel map in the video.

In the screenshot that was leaked, the new Erangel map is getting updates across the landscape with multiple bridges and rivers. The map formally had two islands, but it now looks like it will be surrounded by a landmass around the edges with a river flowing between the mainland and the northern region has a snowy mountain.

With the new update that is on course, players will be allowed to choose the classes of characters before going out in battle. Each class appears to have a special ability, including a grappling hook to tie buildings or structures to quickly cross the map. We also saw a player throwing a dart at an eliminated teammate who brought them back into action.

Going to the end of the video, Wynnsanity also showed more places that were being changed, including Prison, Quarry, Pochinki, Mylta Power, Military Base, etc. It is unclear whether the new class system, if any, will be added as a separate mode or in classic mode, the former being more likely. The date at which the update will start to roll out is still unknown but we should be expecting some news on that in the coming months as the trailer has already landed in China.
